The challenge
As the SMM tactic for a chain of stores, two simple actions were selected:
- A large-scale advertising campaign with local bloggers, sending all traffic directly to the company's Instagram profile.
- Using content in the profile to clearly communicate the key benefits of buying from the store: a profitable Trade-In program, gifts with purchase, and participation in giveaways.
One big nuance: time and attention. User attention is extremely limited. There are only a few seconds to help a person understand what is being offered.
The standard Instagram publishing format assumes that a user will open each post, watch the video, and read the caption. In reality, this does not match the 3–5 second attention window that most users actually have.
The solution
Instagram profile as a landing page. When someone lands on the profile, they only see a few types of information placement: profile name, profile avatar, and post covers.
To communicate the core message quickly, the most valuable points were placed directly on the post covers:
- A profitable Trade-In when exchanging an old device
- Gifts with purchase, for example headphones
- The chance to win a gift through a social media contest
Below is an example of what the layout for the first half of the month looks like. It is then divided into individual post covers and handed over to the SMM team for further publishing.

It is worth noting that the design changed every half-month and was always thematic. It was often tied to holidays and played with the current news cycle so it would not feel boring, and sometimes it even had a playful tone. Black Friday design is a timeless classic that consistently worked well.
The results
This social media format will not suit every brand. It was chosen for this company deliberately, and over time the content approach evolved into a more "live" and "natural" style.
This visual design system was part of a broader tactic: influencer traffic plus an Instagram profile used as a landing page to convert that traffic into messages, follows, and visits to physical retail locations.
